My Chewy. I got her when i was only 5 years old. We picked her up, and put her in a little picnic basket for the ride home, and i remember she would poke her little head out of the basket to see what was going on. She was always there when i needed her, and she was wise and intelligent. She would sit on a book if i was trying to read as if to say "you know you'd rather pet me than read" She loved to hang over my shoulder, and she loved to headbutt people. She always lit up when i walked into the room, and she just couldn't stand to be away from me. She used to sleep on top of me quite often, it was one of her favorite places to be. If not, then tucked under my arm.
Today we had to take her to be put to sleep. She was having seizures for a few weeks, but then she began to get weak, and could no longer walk. I'm pretty sure she had a brain tumor. The injection took her quickly and quietly. She is in a better place now. She amazed everyone by living to be 18 years old. She always has asthma, and for half of her life she was an outdoor cat. She's had a full, and happy life. I spent every second i could with her, and i spoiled her rotten. I will be getting her ashes in 2 weeks or so.
Chewy. I will never forget you. You have been my friend, my soul for most of my life. I came to depend on you, and your absence will be unbearable for some time. I will think of you often, and i hope you are in a happier place. Remember. No ceiling fans in Heaven, Chew.
