Lucy was a beautiful, long-haired, orange, tabby that I adopted from the Humane Society when she was 7 years old. God blessed us with 11 more years together until poor Lucy's 18 year old body started to shut down and I had to have her put down yesterday. I have never had to go through that process before and it was very diffucult. Even though I know she was ready to go and she's in a much happier, pain-free place right now. I can't help but feel like a murderer. I hope this feeling goes away.
Last night, when I came home from the vet's, I was obsessed with getting rid of all her toys, litterbox, bed, bowl, etc. I didn't want to constantly be reminded of her. Are these feelings normal?
