My cat "Boogers" had a unique story. I was at a friend's house, and we heard meowing from a heating vent...so under the house we went to find the source. We crawled around for a while before we found it- a cat had her kittens in a hollow up inside the insulation in the house. We cut out a hole, and plop, out comes a white/tabby kitten no bigger than my hand. People called him a 'little booger', and the name stuck. Several more were found, but this kitty was special. I took him home, and through the year he grew into a big, happy cat. Unfortunately, a little more than a year after I found him, he ventured out into the road, and was killed. I have no regrets about his death because I feel he's in a much better place now. I know even though he is physically gone, he will live on in the memories of my family forever.
